Rob Knapp is a former Managing Director of Merrill Lynch and the architect of the Supernova model he developed with a team of financial advisors and leaders at Merrill Lynch. He is the author of The Supernova Advisor that has receive much critical acclaim in the industry as well as the subject of a dissertation by graduate students at MIT and a case study by a Harvard University professor. Rob’s passion for coaching talented individuals to reach exceptional levels of performance has solidified his reputation throughout the financial services sector as a visionary and creative leader. He created Supernova Consulting Group, LLC. with the purpose of improving the client experience worldwide. In his 34 year career at Merrill Rob was widely recognized as an innovator and occasionally, an iconoclast. He put the long-term development of his teams ahead of the short-term gains, and those people are now some of the most successful leaders in the company. His former managers are consistently recognized for their accomplishments in developing teams, serving clients and generating revenue.
Cindy Beuoy, as Supernova’s COO, brings a fresh approach to the organization. She graduated from Butler University with a journalism degree and earned her Masters Degree in Public Relations from Ball State University. A veteran in the communications field with more than 20 years experience, her expertise includes public relations, marketing, technology and business management. She has collaborated in the development and branding of the Supernova program since the program’s inception and is dedicated to its success. She trains teams how to use the Excel scheduling tool and organizational best practices as well as managing the company’s day to day operations. Her focus is to assist clients in their transformation into Supernova Advisors.
Rob Shaffer spent 36 years at Merrill Lynch and was honored on several occasions as one of the top thirty Private Client Directors. He experienced the power of Supernova firsthand while leading the Merrill Lynch office in Nashville, Tennessee. In five years of Supernova, the office increased its business by 20% while competitors in the market grew significantly less. Rob is a coach, speaker and contributing author to the Supernova membership site.
Stan Craig held nearly every sales position in his 27-year career at Merrill Lynch. He was a financial advisor, sales manager, RVP, District Sales Manager, Regional and National Sales mmanager,Director of Global Sales for Defined Asset Funds and the First Vice President and Senior Director of the Office of Investment Performance. After early retirement, he has served as a consultant for sales and marketing, a partner at PSB Training, and a keynote speaker at numerous recognition events for both advisors and their clients. His audiences are the leaders in financial services. He has spoken around the world, on 5 continents and in every state. He is an author, co-author, consultant, coach and trainer. Curtis C. Brown, Jr. is a consultant with Supernova Consulting. He is an entrepreneur and the former President/COO of EQIS, a Financial Services Technology firm. Curtis spent 30 years with Merrill Lynch in a variety of leadership positions. Previously he was, a Regional Managing Director responsible for four business units including a Private Client business, Private Wealth business Asia Pacific business, and Middle Market Institutional business; National Sales Manager, and Assistant to the Chairman and President. Curtis spent the early part of his career as a financial advisor. He holds an MBA degree from National University, a BA degree in Political Science from San Diego State University. Curtis also attended an advanced leadership development program at Wharton and the Investment Banking Institute. He studied Spanish at Bridge-Liguetec in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Rob Kennedy was a successful FA, office manager, and complex director with Merrill Lynch before launching his own executive search firm. Rob began his career as a financial advisor with J.C. Bradford & Co. before moving to Merrill Lynch and opening a new branch for them in the process. While an FA at Merrill, Rob was a club level FA and first or second quintile in production and assets in every year of production, a mortgage leader, a top level winner of the “Master’s” contest, and a community leader. As an office manager, Rob was a successful recruiter and strategic leader, leading his office to achieving the highest possible performance scores and growing market share by more than 15% in four years. As a complex director, Rob ran four offices across two states, grew market share for six years in a row, and was a multi-year winner of the director award for recruiting. Rob produced and/or managed in Tennessee, Indiana, Kentucky, Colorado, Alabama, and Georgia.Rob has a BA in Political Science and an MBA with a marketing concentration, both from Vanderbilt University. He lives in Montgomery Alabama with his wife Claire and their seven children.
